A report published today by Ofsted's boss Michael Wilshaw claims that one third of secondary schools in the North of England and the Midlands are not good enough. This comes after a report earlier in November which identified schools in many coastal areas as being unsatisfactory. The BBC has produced this GCSE "heat map" showing the GCSE performance in different regions:
