Science (Theory)
There is not universal agreement about how to define science, but most see it as an organised, systematic and cumulative pursuit of knowledge, generally about the natural world, through the rigorous testing of hypotheses. There is a debate about whether sociology should be considered scientific or not. Sociologists of belief are also interested in how science differs from religion and ideology. They generally consider science to put great emphasis on proof and testing, and also on objectivity.
