Racism (Education)
Racism, or racial prejudice, is discrimination based on ethnicity, nationality or skin colour. The education system has been accused of institutional racism, which is where the policies, procedures and practices of institutions discriminate on ethnic or racial grounds as opposed to just individuals acting on racial prejudice. This is because it is suggested that schools, curricula and examinations are often ethnocentric.
