The privatised nuclear family is similar to the traditional nuclear family but are inwardly focused. Therefore, individuals in this family are more aware of what is happening on TV and fictional characters rather than individuals living in their community. Due to the increased financial flexibility within these units the family members are able to spend more leisure time together than in the past.
