Opportunity Sampling

Opportunity sampling is where a researcher selects participants based on their availability. One example would be standing on the street asking passers by to join the research. This is a quick and easy way to access a sample, so practicality is an advantage. But the resultant sample would not be representative and therefore findings would not be generalisable.
