Legalisation of Contraception

The legalisation of contraception was a success for the feminist movement in the 1960s, enabling women to have access to contraception. This meant that women were able to opt to take the (newly-developed) contraceptive pill when unmarried. As a result of the changing position of women in society this has further enabled them to take control of their lives and their reproductive abilities.
