General Fertility rate

The general fertility rate is the number of fertile women (ages 15-44) per 1,000 each year. The general fertility rate was 1.82 children per woman in 2015, which has decreased from 1.83 children per woman in 2014. A reason for this is due to the fall in the fertility rate for women 20 and under has outweighed the increased fertility rates for the older ages, which has ultimately made the general fertility rate decrease. This can be seen with the average age of a mother is now 30.3 years old in 2015.
