Gender (Beliefs)
Gender has been argued to affect whether an individual is likely to adhere and join a religious institution. It is argued that women are more likely to attend church more than men due to them being more risk aware about the potential negative outcomes for themselves and their families if they do not attend. In the 2011 census it was noted that overall females were more religious than males. Most notably there were high proportions of women aged between 20 to 30 and 60 to 70 that identified as religious.
