Crime and Deviance
Crime and Deviance is a topic in A Level sociology, usually studied in the second year of the A Level, which focuses on sociological explanations of: crime, deviance, social order and social control; patterns and trends in crime in relation to ethnicity, gender and social class; globalisation and crime today; the media and crime; green crime; human rights and state crimes; crime control, surveillance, prevention and punishment; victims, and the role of the police, criminal justice system and other agencies.
