‘Worrying picture’: Journalists in Europe face increasing risk, press freedom group warns

Press freedom groups have expressed concerns about the risks involved in covering certain stories following the murder of the Greek journalist, Giorgos Karaivaz two weeks ago.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) have reported that some reporters have experienced harassment and violence by protesters and police in some EU member countries. The president of the European commission, Ursula von her Leyen had condemned any form of harassment and violence against journalists.
