The General Election and the NHS

NHS bosses have said that the organisation is chronically understaffed and patient safety and quality of care is under threat.

Niall Dickson, the chief executive of the NHS confederation has said that political parties should not raise the expectations in the run-up to the election.

"More investment is needed by even with that this is a system that will take time to turn around and the electorate must not be fed with overpromises over the coming weeks".

This article could be used in the Health unit (provision of health care in contemporary society).
