The following article explores the American Dream.
The American Dream is associated with a sequence of life events for an individuals, aspects such as getting a degree, a job and getting married.
It is believed that many Americans can and should aspire to this standard. This sequence of events is so synonymous with American culture that people may feel like a failure if they fail to achieve elements of it. Therefore, in contemporary society this dream feels just that, simply a dream.
