Space to Be: the fight to keep this Belfast women’s centre open
27th April 2021
This short documentary from The Guardian examines the fight to save women's centres in Belfast.
Many of these centres were opened during the Troubles and were intended to support vulnerable women and their families. Services such as art projects, mental health support and childcare are offered.
This video could be used as part of a discussion about support systems in place in areas of conflict and relative deprivation.
