Sex and Gender
3rd December 2018
The following podcast from BBC Woman's Hour has a section dedicated to the debate between the terms 'sex' and 'gender'.
Whilst many sociologists believe that 'sex' refers to a person's biology (hormones, genitals and so on), and 'gender' refers to the social label one attaches to their identity, the debate is nuanced and complicated.
The podcast could be used within the Culture and Identity unit.
