School leaders in England reject catchup national tutoring programme

The UK government's effort to help students catch up on 'lost learning' as a result of the pandemic has been widely criticised by school leaders.
70% of school leaders polled believe that students should receive additional support, such as small-group sessions, but argue that these should be run by schools themselves and not by a tutoring programme.
