Divorce rates for opposite sex couples in England Wales decreased in 2017, with 8.4 divorces per 1,000 married men and women.

Four divorce lawyers in the following video explain what they have learned about how to enter into marriage and how to maintain a marriage.

The Office for National Statistics also provides comprehensive data about divorce rates for England and Wales, and some of this data could be used not just within the Families and Households unit but also within Research Methods.
