Podcast Recommendation: BBC Woman's Hour
20th July 2020
The first segment from this episode of BBC Woman's Hour examines the perception of female perpetrators of crime.
There is an initial focus of Ghislaine Maxwell who is due to appear in court on charges of recruiting girls for Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse, and then more of a wider discussion of how female criminals are viewed in the media and society.
This podcast could be used for the Crime and Deviance unit (social distribution of crime by gender, the media and crime).
