Migrant caravan: Mexico presses US to reform immigration policies

Thousands of migrants attempt to reach the United States each year in an attempt to flee persecution and poverty and also as a result of climate change.

Last week, over 7000 people were blocked by police in Guatemala as they tried to escape countries such as Honduras. The Mexican president, Mr Lopez Obrador has said that he hopes that the American government will reform some of their existing policies to support Mexico and other countries with the mass movement of people.
