King Charles III's Views on Religion
20th September 2022
This article is an absolute feast for sociology students studying the Beliefs topic this term!
Charles has shown support for a wide range of religions over the years, openly claiming that he sees no sense in religious conflict.
Charles has also been referred to as ‘eco-spiritual’, linking his passion for the environment to spirituality. Perhaps, as sociologists, we could link this to ideas of animism, or apply an interpretivist approach - a social constructionist definition of religion - or even postmodern ideas, with Charles finding his own meaning for what beliefs mean to him or picking and mixing from a range of beliefs.
