26th February 2020

This podcast from BBC Beyond Today explores the changing nature of music consumption.

The rise of music streaming has led to sweeping changes in the ways in which people listen to music; companies such as Spotify and Apple Music having the ability to tailor music recommendations based on the data they collect about our music listening choices.

Although the focus of this podcast is about the teenager music star, the journalist delves deeper into attempting to understand the influence of streaming services and the power that they have in the industry.

This podcast could be used for the Media unit (new media, social networks).
