'Golden week': wedding season boom in China with 600,000 couples tying knot

It has been reported that 600,000 couples have tied the knot in China over an eight-day public holiday (known as Golden Week), adding to a wedding boom partly as a result of delays due to the coronavirus.

Weddings are big business in China and the boom also demonstrates that in some areas of the country, there is economic recovery.

This article could be used for the Families and Households unit (marriage).
