Coronavirus: 300,000 redundancies planned in June and July

A BBC Freedom of Information request has found that over 300,000 redundancies were made by companies in June and July this year.
The job retention scheme has helped protect millions of jobs according to the government, but an economic downturn and the coronavirus lockdown has meant that many businesses have been affected.
