China's Population

The UN currently estimates that China has a population of 1.41 billion people. This is set to peak in 2029 at 1.44 billion before what is described as an ‘unstoppable’ decline according to a government report.
People are having fewer children and partly as a result of the one-child policy there are more males than females and a rapidly ageing population.
This article could be used for the demographics section in the Families and Households unit.
