China announces three-child limit in major policy shift

In a major policy announcement since the release of the Census data in China only recently, couples will now be permitted to have up to three children.
Although China's population has increased over the past ten years, the overall figure of children being born has slowed. This is a development from the scrapping of the one-child policy in 2015.
