Britain and Inequality

The following article from The Guardian discusses how rising inequality in the UK could put the country "on the same path as the US to become one of the most unequal nations on earth".
This comment comes from an economist who is leading a review of inequality in the UK. The effects of rising inequality has a number of impacts, including rising suicide rates (described as 'deaths of despair'), and stagnant earnings.
