I came across this website on social media where the 'Badass Cross Stitcher', Shannon uses craftivism to help promote activism, with discussions for instance about democracy, feminism and community.
She presents much of her work on social media so some students may have already come across her work!
(On a side-note, Shannon's work was recently highlighted on the BBC News website as she has asked for help in finishing a quilt that was originally started by a woman who died before completion).
