Are GCSEs pointless?
18th February 2019
An article published by The Guardian recently explores whether GCSEs are fit still for purpose.
Robert Halfon, a member of the Education Select Committee, believes that GCSEs are ‘pointless’ and should be replaced in a radical overhaul of the British education system.
He suggests that both GCSEs and A Levels should be replaced by a mix of vocational and academic qualifications.
The following article could be used within the Education unit and could provoke an interesting discussion about the future of education.
