Social Cognition

Social cognition refers to the internal (mental) processes which are used to manage information about the self and other people. Every time an individual interacts with another person, or thinks about themselves, they process new information from their senses and draw on existing information from memory. Based on this information people constantly make judgements and decisions that influence their social behaviours.
