Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a technique that transforms some aspect of physiological behavior, (e.g. heart rate and blood pressure), into electrical signals which the person is able to see/hear. For example, they might be attached to a machine that produces an auditory or visual signal to indicate whether their heart rate is too high. A person is then trained to acquire some control to reduce their heart rate.
