Worried about the new specification? There is a solution......
31st October 2014
Here’s a thought….this time next year you will already have taught about six weeks of the new specification. At Tutor2Upsychology we felt the change might seem like a lot of work for you, so we have designed a CPD day to take the pressure off.If you are planning on using the new AQA specification there may be areas you feel are going to require some extra work. With that in mind we have a whole folder of resources to help you tackle those sticky bits, the extras, the bits you look at and think ‘Oh no, there go my holidays...’ because you feel you will be swamped with planning
Contents of the resources file will be, along with many other resources, as follows:
Dinner Lady’s Brain: An interactive resource for a ready-made lesson on localisation and lateralisation in the brain
The Best and the Rest: A resource will minimal planning that encourages application of the approaches. The application skill is the new AO2!
Name that Neuron and Build a neuron: Both designed to deliver the neuroscience
Sign Test Sorted: An easy to use guide on how to do a sign test ( students will need to be able to do this in the first year)
I want to be a Mummy: Artistic delivery of the mediational cognitive processes in Social Learning theory
There are many more resources that will facilitate, for example, practice of the new multiple choice questions, teaching humanistic psychology, comparisons of the approaches and choosing between parametric and non-parametric tests.
We are running two days in December in London (9th) and Manchester (16th).
