Thinking Tables: Graffitiing Desks for Learning

Joseph Sparks

28th January 2017

There’s nothing like graffiti and vandalism in the classroom…all in the name of learning of course.

Just one of the excellent ideas posted in our Facebook Community this week has been aptly named ‘Thinking Tables’.

The idea is simple – rather than writing on regular paper, why not get the students to show off their ideas using whiteboard pens and their own desks. This large blank canvas becomes a huge space for collaborative learning and sharing ideas. [If you give the students different colour pens, you can even show progress…if you’re into that sort of thing].

No desks were harmed in the making of this photo.

Do check that your whiteboard pens wipe off the desks before you attempt this task.
