Schizophrenia and Type 2 Diabetes

The link between schizophrenia and diabetes is well established, and recent research has found that the link between schizophrenia and diabetes exists, even after other lifestyle factors (e.g. diet and exercise) are taken into consideration.

The article, featured in The Conversation, highlights the importance of rethinking the link between diabetes and schizophrenia and how practitioners should consider the prevention of diabetes, from the onset of a schizophrenia diagnosis.
