Mobile Phones Affect Relationships

In our highly-connected world, recent research suggests that we are becoming less capable of forming relationships, and Psychologist Vinita Mehta claims that increased media use is one of the contributing factors.

An article in Psychology Todaysuggests that there has been a significant drop in secure attachment and an increase in insecure attachment, over the last ten years. According to Mehta, this means that people feel disconnected and are struggling to connect with other people, including caregivers, friends, loved ones, etc.

You can listen to an interview with Mehta by clicking here.
