Well, scientist Eline Van Der Velden - armed with a clipboard and a high-vis jacket - might make you think again.
In this second video, aA man in a non-specific uniform gets strangers to change how they walk, jump in place, litter, etc. While the same man in plain clothes is treated like he is crazy for making the same requests.
The following clip is perfect when teaching explanations for obedience in the social psychology topic to consider the different factors that might contribute to obedience.
