Engaging Fathers in Parenting Improves Outcomes for Children

A study led by NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development has found that a parenting program where fathers engage with their children through reading not only boosted the fathers’ parenting skills but also improved the child’s school readiness and behaviour.
These results suggest that father can play a significant role in social, emotional, and behavioural development.
