World Politics and International Relations at IB level

Information about the course

World Politics and International Relations is currently an SBS subject offered at Standard Level on the IB Diploma program. A School Based Syllabus has a host school and teacher coordinator who works with other teachers to develop the syllabus and set the exam. The course has been running for at least seven years so it is a full SBS - and no longer a pilot. There are currently about ten schools registered to offer it - and more are looking at taking it up. There is a pilot process under way to develop the course into a fully-fledged subject, which would then also be available at Higher Level, but this is a year or two away.
