Useful Obama links

16th June 2009

I’ve put together a list of resources on President Obama. This could be accessed by students or teachers for a host of purposes.

Essentially I have been asked to put together details of a piece of work that students could undertake if our school was forced to close in response to the threat of swine flu. My idea was that we could look at how and why the 2008 elections were important. Here students could analyse the significance of race, the unpopularity of Bush, look in detail at American foreign policy, or even provide an interim assessment of how successful the Obama presidency has been.

Equally students could present an exhibition on the 10 most significant moments of either Obama’s career, or his time in office.

Some sites require registration of one form or another, but most should present no problem. Happy researching!
