Links for AS students studying democracy

At this time, many students will have just finished democracy if they're doing AS Edexcel Government and Politics, or a similar syllabus, like AQA. With that in mind, I enclose all the weblinks I've got on Democracy and Participation, including several videos and articles. This includes the story of today for students - should prisoners be allowed to vote? (see link 8 below). More obscure, but still of interest is the efforts by Republicans to introduce voter ID laws in the United States (see link 5). Feedback on all links welcome.
