Labour versus the government on police numbers

To follow up what I wrote about yesterday in terms of policy divides between the main parties, and how easy it is to gather examples that help illustrate points, here is a quick one from today’s Guardian.
Labour claim the police’s job will be harder as a result of planned government cuts
Ed Miliband is looking to use the e-petition process to force a debate in parliament on the government’s plans to trim police numbers. The Labour leader said: “No one will understand why the government is pressing ahead with their plans for 16,000 fewer police officers.”
So, there you go. One to be filed for later!
