Engaging Lesson Starter - Conveyor Belt Memory Game
29th January 2016
Here's a fun and engaging lesson starter for your next Government and Politics lesson called 'Conveyor Belt Memory Game' (hat tip to Paul Hoang from Sha Tin College in Hong Kong for the concept).
Run the Powerpoint and tell your students to memorise the 12 UK politicians (from the last 10 years). They must not write down the names of the figures that they see - they must attempt to memorise all 12! Once the conveyor belt has stopped (along with the music) your students are left with a series of questions - give them 2 minutes to answer:
Name the current or former:
1.Prime Minister(s)
2.Deputy Prime Minister(s)
3.Party Leader(s)
4.Conservative MPs
5.Foreign Secretary(ies)
6.Home Secretary(ies)
7.Brothers
Go through the answers using the same Powerpoint.
