On Meehive you can create your own front page that brings together all your news items of interest/relevant to your course and share them. Either create your own and get your students to follow using RSS or get them to do the work. A great way to get the ‘meat’ onto the ‘bones’ of any course that requires students to keep up-to-date with global news and perspectives

Possible learning ideas: if students go to: www.meehive.com, they can choose news items that they would like to be updated on daily. The process lends itself to getting students to discuss how news is categorized and selected, and to consider the role and motivations of the selector. My World Politics students also compared the online reporting to traditional mediums and the implications for netizens worldwide. Students can bookmark for daily updates and come to lessons with lots to discuss.
