The best documentary on PM and Cabinet - essential viewing
A quick entry before Y10 Parents' Evening, but it's a plug for a quality resource for anyone examining one of the core topics of the A Level British Politics course. Also useful, therefore, when looking at the US Cabinet in a comparative sense.
It was filmed in 2001 and so may seem very dated, but there are excellent interviews in there with many former Prime Ministers and members of the Cabinet on the complex relations between key members of the core executive. As such it is a goldmine of the kind of examples needed to score highly in an essay on this topic.
Made by the BBC's foremost political documentary maker, Michael Cockerell, it mainly focuses on Blair's first term, but getting access to so many political heavyweights means that Cockerell's film really an inside view into Number 10.
