Bullingdon Club antics don’t look too good in a recession

An interesting feature of the media coverage of the George Osborne sleaze scandal in the last week has been the resurrection of images from the Shadow Chancellor’s membership of the infamous Bullingdon Club - a hell-raising drinking club at Oxford…

Pictures of the posing Bullingdon Club members are an interesting snapshot of the club’s socio-economic profile. So many have gone on to accumulate great wealth and achieve much personal success.

However, its interesting how the media have focused on the elitist element of the Bullingdon membership. There is something about the pictures that don’t sit too well alongside stories of businesses making redudancies, houses being repossessed, Christmas parties being cancelled and households shopping at Aldi.

Interestingly, it is not just poor old George Osborne who was a paid-up member of the Club. Another image is doing the rounds again - this time including David Cameron and Boris Johnson.

Can you spot them below?
