Lines or regions that fit a given rule are called Locus or Loci. There are some that you need to know that are the same as constructions that you probably already know how to do, but you might not immediately recognise them. Here's some videos that should help you understand the topic better.
Locus of points a fixed distance from a point
Bespoke Education bring us a video showing that the locus of points from a point makes a circle. They also show us how to construct a locus of points from a line.
Locus of points a fixed distance from a line
Lambeth Academy shows us how to draw the locus of points a fixed distance from a line
Locus of points which are equidistant from two given lines
When you draw the line that is equidistant from two lines that meet at an angle, you bisect that angle. Here's a video of Corbett Maths bisecting an angle.
Locus of points which are equidistant from two given points
When you are given two points and you need to find all the points equidistant from those points, first draw a line joining the two points. Then follow the instructions in this video to create a perpendicular bisector of that line. All points on that bisector are equidistant from the points at the end of the original line. Corbett Maths shows you how.
Answering loci questions
Knowing how to construct the loci is one thing, answering typical exam questions is another. Here's some videos showing both the basic techniques and some exam style questions
