Compound measures includes things like rates of pay, prices, speed, density and pressure. There's lot's to learn so there's no time to waste, get your speed up because the pressure is on.
Speed
Four worked example from Mr Hegarty, all you need to know about speed is here.
Density
Mr Hegarty brings us a second video on the topic of Compound Measures, this time his focus is density. There are two worked examples to go through as well as an explanation of how density is calculated. Thanks Mr Hegarty.
Conversions
In this video Mr Hegarty deals with the conversions that are often fundamental to compound measures questions. You are no longer expected to memorise metric to imperial conversions, as described in this video (at 5:40), as they will provide these conversions if they are part of a question. However you might still have to perform the calculation so watch this video anyway, there's plenty of other essential information here to make it worthwhile.
Exam style questions
The final part of this series of videos from Mr Hegarty introduces us to some exam style questions. Thanks Mr Hegarty.
A GCSE speed question
One more speed question taken from a recent GCSE paper.
A GCSE pressure question
Mr Jeffery takes us through a very tricky pressure question. Thanks Mr Jeffery.
