MoJ defeated (AGAIN)

The defeat of the MoJ last week at the hands of criminal lawyers makes fantastic material for AS law students looking at delegated legislation and judicial review. In a great example of procedural ultra vires, the MoJ's consultation over the legal aid reforms was described as being "so unfair as to result in illegality" by the High Court judge. One in the eye for Mr Grayling, and the subsequent fallout on twitter from the MoJ's clumsy attempt at spinning the outcome makes for engaging reading for students. A really accessible and important case. When QCs are tweeting the MoJ telling them to "cut the cr*p", something is badly wrong...
