Innate

"Innate" refers to something that is naturally present or existing in a person from birth, and not learned or acquired through experience. For example, some aspects of physical development, such as the growth of bones and muscles, are considered innate, as they occur naturally and are not influenced by external factors. Similarly, certain reflexes (e.g., the startle reflex) and instincts (e.g., the instinct to cry when in distress) are considered innate, as they are present from birth and do not need to be learned. In health and social care, the concept of innateness is important for understanding how children develop and how to best support their growth and development.
