Working in Health & Social Care: Exam Revision Livestreams!

Starting on Monday 4th December, we will be running weekly revision livestreams for students. These 30 minute sessions will feature fun and fast paced revision activities for BTEC National and BTEC Tech Award exams being sat in January.

BTEC National: Unit 2 Working in Health & Social Care

Healthcare Professions livestream
Wednesday 6th December at 5pm
Covering the roles and responsibilities of doctors, nurses, midwives, healthcare assistants, occupational therapists.

Social Care Professions livestream
Wednesday 13th December at 5pm
Covering the roles and responsibilities of social workers, youth workers, care managers, care assistants, support workers.

Data, Information and Ensuring Safety livestream
Wednesday 20th December at 5pm
Covering data and information management principles, health and safety and safeguarding.

MDT Working and Barriers to Access livestream
Wednesday 3rd January at 5pm
Covering benefits and advantages of multidisciplinary team working and the barriers individuals to accessing health and social care services.

Monitoring, Inspection & Regulation livestream
Wednesday 10th January at 5pm
Covering how the work of professionals is monitored, registration and regulation of professionals and inspection and regulation of services.

ADP, Empowerment, Rights & Choices livestream
Sunday 14th January at 5pm
Covering anti-discriminatory practice, empowering service users and protecting and promoting rights and choices.

Liz Blamire

Liz is the current tutor2u subject lead for Health and Social Care. She is a former NHS midwife, who has worked in community, birth centre and acute hospital settings. Liz is an SSAT Accredited Lead Practitioner, who has taught Health and Social Care in FE and secondary schools, where she was a successful HOD. Liz is an experienced senior examiner and author.
