Occupational therapy life hacks
7th November 2022
The 7 November sees the Royal College of Occupational Therapy launch its first ever public health campaign to bring the expert advice of its members directly to the public.
Lift up your everyday with OT Life Hacks is a campaign designed to help people around the country, regardless of age, ability or income, take small, positive steps to improve their health and wellbeing.
The advice is being given in the form of life hacks: easy to follow ideas to help people make changes in their life which can help them do the things they love and need to do.
‘Often, it’s the things we love to do which can most benefit our health and wellbeing, such as a walk with a friend, dancing or having the family around for a home cooked meal,” says Karin Orman, Director of Practice and Innovation at the RCOT.
‘That’s why our advice is practical, achievable and meant to be fun.'
Occupational therapists from around the country will publish their ideas for ways we can all improve our mental and physical health in videos or posts on social media, which can be found using #OThacks.
The ideas can also be found on: www.rcot.co.uk/OTLifeHacks.
