More Funding Announced for T levels
21st February 2023
Earlier this month the government announced a Funding boost to support T Level roll out
The government is keen to support education providers in making T Levels available to as many students as possible. To help achieve this, they are extending funding in three areas:
- A new Employer Support Fund – worth up to £12 million over the next two years – to provide support for Industry Placements, a core part of the T Level qualification
- Grants of up to £10,000 will be made available from this Spring to boost careers guidance in schools and colleges, so all students have a good understanding of T Levels and their benefits
- T Level providers delivering courses for the first time from September 2023 will also soon be allocated a share of around £80m to help them to invest in high quality specialist equipment to deliver T Levels.
The last point is particularly helpful to T Level Health, as our subject requires a lot of equipment to learn how to work in healthcare, from blood pressure monitors and pulse oximeters right through to full size hospital beds and even birth pools, and possibly even mannequins that give birth if you are on the supporting the midwifery team pathway!
